About the Watchman

     Beloved ones, we live in a time of unprecedented knowledge, technology and wealth, but it is also a time of equally unprecedented stress, discouragement, fear, and sin sickness.  Just as He called out the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel, God is calling out many of us today to be “watchmen on the wall.”  To Ezekiel, God said “When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.  Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.”  (Ezekiel 33:8, 9 NKJV)  In other words, if those of us to whom He has given the burden of sounding the trumpet of His impending judgment and the knowledge of His merciful loving-kindness and grace refuse to speak out, then the judgment of the unbeliever will fall upon us.  That is why this blog has been developed–to sound the trumpet announcing the soon coming of our Lord; to attest to His goodness to all those who call themselves by His Name, and to encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ during this time when spiritual darkness appears to be in ascendency.

     If you are reading this and don’t know Jesus, or if you know about Him but don’t yet have a personal, loving relationship with Him, know that you did not come to this site by chance.  You were lead here by the Holy Spirit.  Jesus loves you and took your sins to the cross with Him in order that you might, through the power of His precious shed Blood, be counted as righteous in the sight of the Father.  All it takes to be able to approach the throne of God is to believe in the atonement offering of His Son and to turn away from the sin which separates us from Him.  It doesn’t matter who you are: what race or color you are, what religion or denomination you are, what you have done in your past, what or whom you may have worshipped in the past.  He loves you and covets your love in return.  If you ask Him to, He will accept you into His adopted family and wash away your sins “as far as the east is from the west.” (Psalm 103:12)

     For those of you who wish to return to this site, I’ll be updating and posting on a regular basis.  Sometimes just with a thought or two; sometimes I’ll be passing on a gem from Scripture or a special Word from the Lord.  Until then,

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee;

The Lord  make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee;

The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

(Numbers 6:24-26)
