Well spoken, Watchman! I felt as though I were there, hearing, weeping and praising God. Your words “painted” an incredibly moving picture of what that meeting must have been like. Can you imagine people of the church of today standing for hours listening to The Word?!! How pleased God must have been! This makes me so aware of how lukewarm we must appear, compared to the reaction of the people gathered on that day. Thank you for this reminder of how we should be, as Believers, in this latter day – waiting for the return of our Lord.

Another Scripture I find to be interesting, speaking about the children of God: John 1: 9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

First off, WORD! @ Shirley, very nicely said! Now…@ our beloved Watchman/woman… Melissa, you took my breath away with the passion with which you wrote “A Season of Gifts”. I was going to take a journalism course once and there’s actually only one piece of advice I remember. “Write about that which you know by your own life, and write that with PASSION” (paraphrasing)

I so agree with you on everything you have alluded to. Even one one two I myself may be guilty of myself. Those people who are so date oriented in that they attempt to make the celebration of the birth of the Savior of the world a sin – are just as Shirley stated above. “Gagging at a gnat while swallowing a camel”

There is no one- no where – no how ever gonna stop this ole white woman from rejoicing on December 25th – and each and every other day as well – that Jesus Christ is born. Emmanuel, God with us.

Let’s just agree to pray for that person to come to the knowledge of the truth so that she can stop acting, in my opinion, like a Pharisee in Jesus’ day.

PRAISE GOD IT’S CHRISTMAS TIME – I WANNA MOVE TO TEXAS AFTER WHAT I SAW ON A VIDEO- PEOPLE GATHERING TOGETHER TO STAND UP FOR OUR LORD AND OUR GOD. THE ONLY GOD.

Soon my dear, dear girlie-friend…we will see each other in heaven and go cruising the solar system together LOL!

BTW? EXCELLENT POST AS ALWAYS—MERRY CHRISTMAS!! {Watch out for the lil round white bearded man though…I’ve been hearing rumors….LOLOL…love ya!

In the Book of Esther, after the enemies had hoped to destroy the Jews, but quite the opposite occurred, did not Mordecai encourage them to celebrate with feasting and gladness and by giving gifts to each other and the poor? This is now called Purim. Why not celebrate the occasion of Jesus’ birth (no matter the date) by doing so in like manner? Come on, all “ye faithful”…put on the garments of praise and take off that spirit of heaviness. Celebrate God’s gift to us! Stop “gagging at a gnat and swallowing a camel.” It’s not a very good testimony to a lost and dying world. Well done, again, Watchman! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Hallelujah!

This story of the false prophet, misleading another prophet, drove home the fact, to me, that we need to “test the spirits” and go to The Father and ask: “Is this really from you?” It’s the wise thing to do. I believe, in the long term, non-believers respect, begin to examine, and sometimes believe those who are willing to tell the truth and tell it with love. No one wants to listen to a judgmental, mean-spirited “believer” unless it’s to confirm their preconceived notion of Christianity as something they don’t want or need. That’s what you have done with the anointed word given you, Watchman; spoken the truth in love. Thank you. God will bless you.

superb! – EZEKIEL says if we don’t say anything (as led by the Good Spirit) we are GUILITY – and MESSIAH Yeshua that I know said the LAW wasn’t thrown out, but filled in HIM – we are to keep the Higher Law – Loving God with ALL (His Opinions too – His Voice and Logos), love ourselves and then our neighbor – Messiah even said this statement: shake off the dust of your feet towards THOSE who REJECT the GOOD NEWS – I said Lord, isn’t that HARSH – He said NO MY SON, if My Son’s body would do what HE SAID, instead of picking and choosing, many would come into the Kingdom – you PREACH the GOOD NEWS for two (2) reasons – to give an offer of the FREE GIFT of My Heart (Kindness) and also to bring a judgment agains them (severity) – your PEACE can NOT return to you, unless you do what My Messiah Instructed – not pick and choose – Selah – Blessings BRO – too many quote John 3:16 without the whole context of John – especially John 3:19-21 – it’s ALWAYS about what a creature LOVES – Light or Darkness (the realms of PRIDE, love of $$ and pleasure and making a name for Oneself instead of the Creator, our YHVH, by Messiah Yeshua and the Good Holy Spirit, all 7 of them (ISAIAH 11 and Revelation 3/4/5)!! – bravo! – mature sons PREACH the TRUTH (Scriptures) in LOVE, seasoned with GRACE but nonetheless, the TRUTH sets them free… amen and amen! – Shalom to all!

In the Book of Haggai, there was a similar warning: When the people put God’s interests first, He provided for their every need. Then the people became interested only in themselves. As God’s children, we need to hear the truth – not something that “tickles our ears”. May God bless you for speaking the truth and sounding a warning. That’s what a Watchman does!
