“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ ”   John 3:3 (NKJV)

If you have not been born again and you are not certain how to bring about the saving grace of Christ to your heart and spirit, Rejoice!  Jesus does all the saving, and will give you His grace, unmerited and unearned, as His free gift to you.  You don’t have to memorize some person’s list of the 10 Steps to Salvation or  send money to some TV minister.   You only have to ask.   Romans 10:9-10 tells us “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”  The gospel according to Luke quotes Jesus as saying “Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the son of man also confess before the angels of God.”   All you have to do is sincerely repent of your sins, ask Jesus into your heart and turn your life over to the God of all creation!  No formulas, no flowery words, just the desire to have the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.  You’re not perfect enough yet?  Don’t worry–none of us are!  Jesus will answer the cry of your heart anyway, and will help you to live a new, changed and holier life.  He says, “…Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you”!

Not sure what to say?  Just talk to Him.  No one can tell you what you need to talk over with the Lord except yourself, but the following will give you an idea of how simple it is to reach the heart of God:

“Father, I am a sinner and I have not lived my life for You, or according to Your will.  Please forgive me for all the sins I’ve committed against You.  Wash me clean of sin and mould me into the kind of person You always meant me to be.  I know that your Son Jesus died in my place so that I could live.  Thank you for the sacrifice of that precious shed Blood, and thank you for making Jesus the Lord of my life and for accepting me into your eternal kingdom.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
